What are live webcasts?
Just like live seminars, live webcasts last for scheduled periods and are led by live instructors. You can ask questions and get immediate feedback. For your convenience, live webcasts are broadcasted through a web page that you can access with a computer in the comfort of your own home or office. They include live video and audio of the speakers, slide show presentations, and handout materials.
Can I receive CPE credit while viewing webcasts as a group?
Yes. Your firm must appoint one person to log into the event and participate live during the event. A sign-in sheet should be maintained for each person attending. At the completion of the event, please submit your attendance/sign-in sheet to the AMICPE Customer Service team for CPE certificate issuance.
What is a Live Rebroadcast?
A Live Rebroadcast is a replay of a live webcast that is monitored by a subject-matter expert. The subject-matter is available to answer questions at any point during the rebroadcast and you will receive the same number of credits as you would for viewing a live webcast.
How can I interact with webcast instructors?
During the presentation, you will see a question box where you can type your questions to the presenter. The presenter will answer as many questions as possible during one or more designated Q&A sessions during the webinar.
How is my attendance verified?
To receive CPE credit for the webcast, you must click on 75% or more of the attendance verification polls.
How do I cancel a webinar?
If you are part of the unlimited package, you do not need to cancel your registration. You will not receive CPE credit for the course if you do not attend. If you purchased a single course, please refer to our Policies section on www.amicpe.com.
When will I receive a Certificate of Attendance?
Your certificate will be emailed to you within 24 hours of the webcast. You can also login to your account at www.amicpe.com and download the certificate of completion.
What kind of CPE credits will I receive?
Live webcasts and rebroadcast provide group internet-based CPE credits. The NASBA category for each webcast is listed in the course description.
Will I be required to take an exam?
You are not required to take an exam since the webcast is live.
I could only attend half the webcast, can I get partial credit?
Partial credit will not be awarded for attendees that are not present for the entirety of webcast nor answer all of the polling questions. Additional credit will not be awarded due to the instructor presenting over the allotted time.
Why am I not receiving emails from AMICPE?
Please check your spam box for messages from AMICPE. In the future, to make sure you receive your reminder emails, we suggest that you add the email address email@example.com to the address book in your email program.
What are the system requirements for attending a webcast?
The following tech specs are for Adobe Connect 9.

State CPE Acceptance Information
The American Institute of Continuing Professional Education Inc. self-study courses are accepted as interactive self-study for CPAs in all states. Our self-study courses have been developed in accordance with the "Statement on Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs" as established by the AICPA and the NASBA. This ensures that our courses will be accepted nationwide for CPE credit. CPE credit has been awarded in all 50 states and Washington, DC. Our NASBA/QAS Self-Study Sponsor Number is 121382.
What is considered a passing score on a final exam?
In order to be awarded a certificate of completion, you must pass the final exam with a minimum score of 70%.
How long do I have to complete my exam to receive my CPE Certificate?
You have one year from the date of purchase to complete your final exam. You have unlimited attempts to pass the final exam.
I am under a deadline and need my CPE now! How can you help me?
When you purchase your course, you will receive an email with a link to your course enrollment. You will receive your test results and certificate of completion immediately upon completing a course through our online grading system.
